Configurable universal measuring transducer with standard signal outputs for the process variables: temperature, resistance, potentiometer and direct voltage
Configurable universal measuring transducer with standard signal outputs for the
process variables: temperature, resistance, potentiometer and direct voltage
Type TSM-MU
Areas of application: Food industry, beverages industry, pharmaceutical industry and generally
in areas of industrial electronics and process measuring technology
Application
The TSM-MU measuring transducers are used for conversion and isolation of measurements on thermocouples, resistance thermometers, resistors, potentiometers and for voltage measurement (e.g. on a shunt). With measurement on resistors (e.g. PT100) the connection (2-, 3- or 4-wire) is recognised automatically on device start. The measuring transducer can be configured via a USB interface. The relevant software can be downloaded from www.mueller-ziegler.de.
Function
The voltage values measured at the inputs are linearised and converted into an impressed direct current and direct voltage. With measuring on a thermocouple, compensation for the the cold junction is made through internal
or external temperature measurement. The galvanic isolation is by means of an optocoupler. An auxiliary voltage is required. Both outputs are protected against no-load and short-circuit. Connecting the two outputs is not permissible.
